To improve traffic flow and make getting around easier, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in partnership with Dubai Holding, has signed an AED 6 billion investment agreement. This ambitious project aims to upgrade road infrastructure across several strategic areas of the city.
A major project for improved mobility
The agreement covers the construction of new bridges, roads, and access points, which will: – significantly cut travel times; – ease traffic flow at neighborhood entrances and exits; – increase road capacity to keep pace with population and traffic growth.
One of the biggest beneficiaries of this plan is Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC), which will gain four new access points. The result: a 70% cut in travel time in this fast-growing area.
