Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is scheduled to open the final bridge of the World Trade Centre Roundabout development project on 30 October 2026. The 1,000-metre, two-lane structure is intended to complete a five-bridge upgrade at a strategically important central Dubai interchange.
The final bridge is designed to carry around 3,000 vehicles per hour. RTA expects it to reduce the journey from Al Majlis Street to 2nd December Street from about six minutes to one minute. The wider project comprises five bridges with a combined length of 5km and an investment of more than AED696 million.
For apartment buyers, the planned opening is relevant because the corridor supports daily movement between established neighbourhoods including Zaa’beel, Al Satwa, Al Karama, Al Jafiliya and Al Mankhool, as well as Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai International Financial Centre and Dubai World Trade Centre. Easier access to employment centres, services and major event venues can add to the practical appeal of homes in nearby central locations.
The RTA’s anticipated network benefits also extend beyond a single route. Average intersection delays are expected to decline from 12 minutes to 90 seconds, while the upgraded interchange is expected to serve more than 500,000 residents and visitors. These are projected operational outcomes that will depend on traffic conditions after opening.
For investors, the project offers a useful indicator of continued public investment in the usability of mature, centrally located districts. It does not guarantee property-price performance, but better planned connectivity can support buyer confidence by improving the everyday convenience of locations close to Dubai’s business, finance and exhibition hubs.
