Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is preparing an enhanced version of its Mahboub virtual assistant for public rollout under its Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2030.

The announced service is designed to handle connected vehicle-licensing tasks within one conversation rather than requiring users to complete each step separately. Its initial scope is expected to include vehicle-registration renewals, traffic-fine payments, clearance certificates and number-plate reservation renewals. In one example outlined by the RTA, Mahboub would guide a user through paying outstanding fines before progressing to a registration renewal.

The planned workflow supports both Arabic and English. It is also intended to use UAE PASS for user verification and Dubai Sadad for payments, bringing identity and payment steps into the announced digital journey.

For apartment buyers, especially households that own a car, such public-service design is a tangible aspect of daily livability. Vehicle administration is not a reason to choose a home on its own, but reduced friction around routine resident tasks can matter to families, professionals and internationally mobile owners assessing how easily they can settle into a city.

For investors, the announcement adds to Dubai’s broader smart-government proposition: public-facing services are being developed around more joined-up digital interactions. That can support the city’s appeal to tenants and purchasers who value straightforward administration alongside transport access, neighbourhood amenities and building quality.

The upgrade remains in preparation for public rollout. Buyers should therefore treat the listed functions as planned initial services rather than assume that every feature is immediately available.
