Aldar’s latest results offer a company-level indication of continuing demand for established UAE residential communities, particularly among overseas purchasers and expatriate residents.
The Abu Dhabi developer reported net profit after tax of AED 7.1 billion for the first nine months of 2026, a 19% year-on-year increase. UAE development sales totalled AED 14.4 billion over the period, of which AED 11.3 billion came from overseas and expatriate-resident buyers. That represents roughly 78% of reported UAE development sales, underlining the importance of an internationally diverse buyer base to the company’s activity.
For apartment buyers, the update also provides evidence of ongoing delivery. Aldar said it handed over almost 2,000 homes during the first nine months of the year. Delivery remains a practical consideration for purchasers assessing an established developer’s ability to progress homes from sale through to handover.
For investors, Aldar reported a development backlog of AED 71.6 billion as at September 30, including AED 59.3 billion in the UAE. The backlog provides visibility over the developer’s contracted future development activity and potential revenue recognition, although it should not be read as a forecast for performance across every UAE location or asset type.
The results do not constitute a market-wide index, and Aldar also recorded lower year-on-year UAE development sales. Still, the figures indicate that a major UAE developer continues to attract substantial international and resident demand while advancing home handovers. For buyers considering Abu Dhabi, Dubai or the wider UAE, this combination can support confidence in the depth of the country’s residential customer base and the delivery activity of established developers.
